Emsil was founded in 1995 in Romania with its first activity of designing, manufacturing and selling CNC Machine Tools. The first CNC machine tool was installed in Finland in 1997. The strategy of Emsil was to diversify and expand its capabilities and flexibilities to manufacture a wide range of products in a wide range of industries. Emsil is an open company for taking on engineering challenges, whether in the machine tools business or in the welding and steel fabrications business, becoming a strong supplier and partner for its customers over time. For these reasons, in 2007, Emsil expanded. The focus of Gemil was on welding large steel fabrications to cover the demand for such services. Moreover, Emsil started to shift the production of machine tools' main components from cast iron to carbon steel welded structures. Siltech, the third company, was created in 2007 to consult and ultimately transformed into a steel fabrication company in 2012. Today, Siltech is established in Aiud, the third location. In 2011, Emsil purchased a French engineering company's Romanian subsidiary and entered the aeronautics industry. The main products manufactured are devices and steel structures for airplane components assembly. Today, we are active in 3 Romanian cities, manufacturing high-technology CNC machine tools and steel fabrications in carbon steel and stainless steel. Industries we are present in are: naval, energy, oil&gas, aerospace, transportation, and vacuum.

We collect and sell old textiles and old shoes, mainly from charity containers. Monthly volumes weigh in at approx. 350 tonnes. Whether it's oil or energy, there is no denying our resources are becoming increasingly scarce. The fibres in textiles need both of these resources. And yet, despite old paper having been collected and recycled for decades, the same cannot be said of old clothing. With every item of clothing that ends up in the bin, valuable raw materials go to waste. These by-products are transformed into fats, dehydrated proteins and bone minerals. CORNILLÉ has chosen to respect the hierarchy of uses by favouring the most relevant uses with the highest societal added value for its processes, such as Human Food, Livestock Feed, Pet Food, Oleochemicals, Biofuels and Fertilisers. CORNILLÉ is committed to working with its partners to reduce its carbon footprint and to contribute to a circular economy based on the use of renewable and sustainable resources: • we use renewable resources collected in France and recover 100% of them in biosourced products. • we produce biosourced proteins and fats with a much lower carbon footprint than imported vegetable proteins and oils (soybean, palm oil). • we optimise our energy and water consumption and permanently reduce our environmental impact. For example, we use decarbonated steam derived from the energy recovery of our waste. • For 70% of our heat requirements, as a substitute for fossil fuels, we use the decarbonated steam produced by SAVE.
