Martinrea Honsel is a leading global supplier of light metal products, primarily for the automotive industry. The company produces aluminium components for the engine, transmission, chassis and body of cars and commercial vehicles, as well as for mechanical engineering and other applications using all common casting and rolling production processes. Components from the company reduce vehicle weight, fuel consumption and emissions, and make a significant contribution to environmental protection. Today, Martinrea Honsel employs around 4100 people in 13 plants across five countries. The rolling mill in Meschede is known worldwide as a supplier of aluminium surfaces in the area of bright and anodised materials as well as aluminium plates and rounds. The products are used in exterior components and interior fittings for cars and commercial vehicles, as well as in machine and plant construction, decorative front panels for furniture, suitcases, reflectors for lights, cosmetics packaging and much more. As a niche and specialist producer of high-quality semi-finished rolled products and stamped blanks, the development expertise practised with customers over many years is one of the company's strengths. Within the scope of product development, individual solutions are developed together with the customer, e.g. special material properties, special dimensional accuracy and customer-specific surface requirements for series application. Our company was founded in 1864 as F. Ossenberg & Co. KG, and is now in its fifth generation of family ownership. Since the acquisition by Julius Grefe KG in 1997, we have traded under the name "Ossenberg & Grefe". We are naturally certified in accordance with ISO 9001. The original manufacturing programme for both companies consisted of buckles, rings and hooks for the textile and leather processing sector. Over time, articles for other areas of application were added to the product range. Today, alongside our standard range of products, we specialise in the manufacturing of wire-bending, punching and assembly products for more than 1000 customers from a wide variety of sectors. To this end, our 60-strong team manufacture approximately 500, 000 parts a day over a production area of 5000 m². Thanks to our versatile machining options, in-house tool manufacturing facilities and electroplating equipment, we are able to find quick and cost-effective solutions to complex challenges.
