This was followed 74 years later by the company VEB Maschinenfabrik und Eisengießerei Wurzen, which was transferred to the ownership of Esterer AG in 1991 and has been trading under the name "Esterer Gießerei Werk Wurzen GmbH" ever since. Together with its sister company in Altötting, Esterer Gießerei GmbH, the Wurzen-based foundry was acquired by Holding Topol GmbH in 2008. Together with Esterer Gießerei Altötting, our company is now one of the leading system suppliers in Europe. Our core areas are the manufacture of geometrically complex and core-intensive products. However, our strengths also include double-walled castings, castings with low wall strength and large components weighing up to four tonnes. FEHRMANN Materials produces industrial-grade, high-performance aluminium and can meet the highest demands and requirements. We develop high-performance aluminium alloys for 3D printing, casting and extrusion applications for other vendors and we use these ourselves for the industrial production of sand-casting parts. Fehrmann is a one-stop shop distributor for established 3D printing metal powders such as tool steel powder (1.2709), stainless steel powder 316L, AlSi10Mg, TiAl6V4 powdered alloy (fine/coarse) and CoCr powder. By up scaling quantities, combined with optimised storage and quality assurance, we bring together the advantages of international trade to meet the availability and quality requirements of our customers and promote 3D printing. An additional focus is the development of an aluminium alloy (AlMgty®) with particular mechanical properties – known as high-performance alloys. These are used for casting (sand, chill and die casting) as well as in extrusion and additive manufacturing/3D printing (LPBF/SLM and DED). As experts in aluminium alloys, we place great emphasis on quality and reliability. We aim to always create added value for our customers. Space and wear parts for blasting machines. We are a leading provider of blasting machine spare parts made of highly wear-resistant cast stainless steel and hardened tool steel. In addition to direct spare parts for blast wheel turbines, our range of goods includes virtually all wear parts that are needed in blasting machines. Blast hangers made from manganese steel and other load suspension equipment for goods to be blasted are subject to extreme wear due to the continuous impact of the abrasives, which sometimes restricts their service life to just a few weeks or months. It is therefore obvious that these products must be made from highly wear-resistant manganese steel. Manganese steel blast hangers have a service life up to 20 times longer than hangers made of traditional steel. This enables much more efficient resource planning.

The Otto Junker high-grade steel foundry in Lammersdorf, Simerath (20 km south of Aachen), specialises in special alloys. Our range of materials offers customers a wide selection of high-alloy iron-, nickel- and cobalt-based varieties. These materials are melted in highly efficient induction ovens, using vacuum technology where required. Our range of products includes corrosion-resistant alloys, heat-resistant alloys, non-magnetisable alloys, hard-wearing alloys and multiple special nickel- and cobalt-based alloys. We also make cast ferrous materials designed to handle exceptionally high levels of stress corrosion from JUNKERALLOY® nickel-based alloys. We have been producing and supplying many of these materials for decades. We produce more materials than are shown on our website – about 100 varieties in total.
